The Music Diagram Series began with the rediscovery of an old, spent word processor ribbon cartridge which contained an early iteration of a writing project I had recently resumed. Upon cutting the ribbon film into pieces, and arranging them in a visual field, I was reminded of an exercise in which I had periodically engaged. In the same books which contained these original writings, I would sometimes create extemporaneous diagrammatical drawings, which were intended as speculative music scores of a non-traditional nature. This series of works further explores this theme.
